Malika B. Hair, a proud native of Hope Mills, North Carolina, embodies the spirit of southern hospitality in every dish she creates. Raised under the loving guidance of her grandmother, Lula Mae "Lou" Brady, Malika developed a deep passion for cooking at an early age.
Following her graduation from South View High School, Malika enlisted in the military, where her talent for hospitality flourished. Despite the demands of military life and later, the challenges of single motherhood, Malika's love for cooking remained steadfast. She balanced her responsibilities, pursued vocational training, and eventually became a Licensed Practical Nurse.
However, it was the unwavering support of her husband, Moshe', that propelled Malika to pursue her culinary dreams. With his encouragement, she began small, preparing meals for family, coworkers, and friends. Each dish bore the imprint of her grandmother's legacy—crafted with love, tradition, and a generous sprinkle of southern charm.
Drawing inspiration from her grandmother's kitchen, Malika's mission is clear: to share the joy of southern hospitality with others. Whether it's a holiday feast or an everyday meal, every dish tells a story of family, love, and community.
In Malika's kitchen, good food takes time, but it's always worth the wait. So, whether you're yearning for a taste of home or eager to experience the warmth of southern cooking, it would be her absolute pleasure to serve you.
Excited to awaken your palette,
Malika B. Hair
